Recently I came across the amazing work of portrait photographer Joel Grimes. With his very distinct and edgy style, I was so inspired by his imagery and the techniques he employs, I just had to give it a go. It’s a technique used quite often for posters from the big blockbuster action movies – where each actor’s portrait will be photographed separately in the studio and then they will be cut out  and  placed on a background that has been compiled of many images. Mine however, for the moment, are a lot less involved, one subjected, on one background…Even though a lot less complex, I am still quite pleased with the results. Maybe when I have nailed this part of the technique I might try something a little  more complex. Who knows, I might end up shooting the next ‘Die Hard 26″ poster campaign – Who said pigs can’t fly…
