Our Big 50th Birthday Bash

This is a quick post just to say a big thank you to our family (who travelled all the way from Manchester) and friends who made our joint 50th birthday party a very special day.

I’d like to thank my gorgeous wife and soul mate Hilary for organizing virtually the whole thing. From hiring fridges/ tables/glasses to organizing all the food. The only duties I was given were to organize the  band and the drink. Oh yeah- clean and level the patio. And with my lack of DIY skills the patio is still not all level but marginally better. Oh,  I almost forgot, I don’t know how as it took me nearly 6 weeks to complete…. Install a new downstairs shower/toilet and basin with a cupboard. (Never again). You know what I said earlier regarding my DIY skills ? Things aren’t as level as they could have been. Anyway, who goes to the toilet with a spirit level anyway ?

The band fronted by Mandy Bell a long time friend of ours, were fantastic, they played a couple of great sets and really appealed to everyones tastes in music.

The party started at 3.00 and went on until 11.30 with Caroline & Tony being the last standing.

Once again, thanks to all that came and the lovely unexpected presents , we had a fab time and cheers to next 50!
